Sandon Ski Trails

The North Slocan Trails Society maintains two linked cross-country ski trails in Sandon, along with a warming hut at the trailhead. The K&S is a 6 km out-and-back trail along the old railbed. The Cody Spur adds another 4 km of trail that can be turned into a loop. Our dedicated team of three — Frank and the Robs — keep the trail groomed and trackset for classic skiing. Typically the ski season starts in Sandon a couple of weeks before conditions are adequate elsewhere in the region. Rob O. posts near-daily updates on trail conditions on the New Denver Facebook Group.

Use of the trails is by donation. A cash donation box is located on the warming hut, or you can donate online here. Donations pay for maintenance and fuel for the snowmobile and grooming equipment.
